EPCOT Center Skyline, September 1982  In this shot, EPCOT Center is poised to debut in just under a month, and currently offering guest previews to families of the construction workers and WED Imagineers that dedicated themselves to building the park, which, at the time was the largest private construction expenditure.  Know how this picture is from before official opening? The EPCOT Logo Fountain (in front of Spaceship Earth) is missing its translucent pylons. Those weren’t installed until Labor Day Weekend, 1982, as they were still being constructed. Also note that The Living Seas plot still holds some construction materials.
